If you're here you already know who Crystal Kay is, and with that, you should also know that she isn't very popular and has quite a small fanbase. In fact, if you look to hard, you might just miss it. And it's because of that, that I created this forum. X I have been on Soompi, Allkpop, Tokyohive and currently, One Hallyu, all for the sake of finding other #TEAMFANS and creating a nice home for myself. But I got nothing, just a handful of people who would come and go until there were about four of us left who actually came to thread on a timely basis. I hunted down the internet for days looking for forums or shrines of any kind and got only one result: eternalkay.forumotion.net/. Which had only thirteen members in it's lifetime, twelve really, not counting the creator. And that was just disappointing. Initially I was going to join but then I felt like there was no point to it. Why join a dead forum, right? It seemed that even the creator had given up hope because there hasn't been any activity for the past two years now. But I wanted a place for the fans to connect, a place where new ones could be obtained and the idea hit me - Why no just make my own? And that was easier said than done. As you may or may not know, this is a free forum. Of course I wanted a huge forum, with all the works and graphics and upgrades like a bunch of other artists have but hosting a forum isn't cheap, especially one that aims to become the "IT" forum (for an individual), not to mention I also have a budding website that's to come as well and let's not get started on the price of a website. I mean, how many fans are there? How many are willing to join this forum? I expect about fifty people tops, who will join and a rough twenty that will frequent. That's not enough for me to spend so much monthly. Especially when a part of me feels like this might have all been for nothing. But I want it to be. I want this forum to grow, for Crystal Kay to have an actual International fanbase, for her to get the recognition that she so rightfully deserves. So I started to learn how to do codes, to make banners, graphics and whatnots. It was tedious and I was -am- quite terrible and slow at it all, but I tried my best and worked hard. I have decided that if this forum can exceed over a hundred members, I would gladly put down some cash to upgrade this site, to start doing projects and even giveaways. I will also keep learning how to make this site look great and become fabulous, and to learn how to code and sub videos so that we may enjoy the little we DO receive (Though that might take a while if it's still a one person job). For now I just ask that you all be patient with this site as it is brand new and there are to be many changes, bugs and issues to follow before it becomes stable, but I also ask that you visit often and spread the CK love! -Sincerely, Admin

You deserve applauds for that. I hope the forum grows too... This 8 members only thing is depressing and I don't understand how we constantly have so many guests but no new members. Like when I saw 49 members online I was so excited to meet everyone....

Hello, I'd like to say something. First, let me say that there have been a few CK fan sites and blogs, as well as forums. 2 of them were created by Tina - c2dakay and c2dk Another one is French - crystalkay4ever And the last one, created by Frozen - eternalkay.forumotion.net As for fansites....there have been crystalkaysite (created by Saphira), crystalkay-4ever (the blog version), and 3-4 other ones as well. There's even a new tumblr: ckay-united.tumblr.com As well as fuckyeahcrystalkay.tumblr.com If you want to know a BIG CK fan, go to randomjpop.blogspot.com I don't like his writing nor his site but he's written constructive reviews and criticisms about her. All in all, CK's fanbase isn't big, but it isn't that small either. The problem is that CK's fans are not aggressive and united. A few stay confined in several small groups but most just stay as "free electrons", on lurking mode most of the time. Admins are usually doing the job solo with no or little help (it was my case - no help). CK's fans are not very active as well and stop being active when the community isn't growing anymore. Few CK fans promote CK fansites so the fansites are not popular with very few comments. I did notice how seperated the English speaking community was to the French one, for example. Now why did you go to kpop forums and sites to search for CK fans? lol I'm not blaming you, right, Tokyohive was a good start though as it deals with Japanese entertainment news. It hasn't been a stable source for CK news though so you should have gone to Jpopcentral instead where there's a 70 ish long thread on CK. Just my 2 cents, I hope my words weren't harsh. I'm not optimistic anymore, I've done my job as a fan and the reality is not pretty nor very positive. I think this forum is good as it is, I don't expect much, not before CK comes up with another hit song to boost her fanbase and her presence on news sites. Off-topic but interesting: anyone has noticed the lack of comments on Yoon Mi Rae's fan blog? Yes. The blog keeps going though, props to the admin, with a couple of anonymouses dropping a "thank you" in the chatbox once in a while. So there's worse than CK fans I guess And this isn't an attack to all of you guys, it's not personal, I'm in it anyway.

@damondayfreak No offense taken. I understand the frustration and disappointment when you get so excited and work hard on something, only for it to fall short of it's goal. I have high expectations for this forum, but at the same time, I'm aware that this will never be like some of forums of other, more popular artist. And you are very right with everything you have said, especially with the close knitted bonds each fansite had. I know of the two or three Crystal Kay tumblr accounts, user @ckayunited, I believe is the creator of the ckay-united tumblr account ( has reblogged about this forum) I found out about the French forums after I made this one, but it was too late to do anything. Not because this forum was already made but because it was pretty much inactive, like most of the others CK fansites. And I had no idea whether or not the admin or whoever would be able to understand me even if I DID ask for an alliance of some sort, but it is on my to-do list, to become allies in the fight to get Crystal more exposure and attention. The reason I was in KPOP forums, is because I am a KPOP fan. Sure, I follow about three Japanese acts with a minor in two, but never as strong as my love for KPOP. And I think most the biggest reason for that, is the small fanbase JPOP fans have. The few website and forums I did follow were so empty, and like you said, no one is going to stay for long without anyone else there. So I'd go to KPOP forums, who would have a small JPOP section and would stay in my small bubble. The plus side to it all though, was that I was able to introduce/re-introduce Crystal to a larger audience. With KPOP forums boasting 1,000+ members, it wasn't hard to grab more attention to her and she has a small but steady fanbase (though their primary focus was on their Korean idols because it WAS a KPOP forum). Myself and Kuropie were basically the only people who showed any love to the Crystal Kay forums on OneHallyu (One KPOP forum I'm on) and I decided to finally get a forum started for her, recruit old and new fans and give ourselves sanctuary. The one pro to making this forum, IMO, is that I'm able to recruit people from all the other old fansites (like yourself). Sure, they all might not join but they'll know it's here and that's enough for me.

I feel like things would have been different if Crystal Kay had come out at a different time with a different better agency. She is seriously not given enough of a chance in my opinion. I think she should've did more acting, if not in Japan, maybe in the US. She deserves to be in commercial, have huge endorsements, have more spectacular tours, and have the absolute best choreographers and songwriters/co-songwriters. I can promote this site more if you want. I don't have many followers myself, but I'll do what I can.

@ckayunited Agreed, though I think her first agency wasn't the problem (though they could have done more for her, promotional wise). It was her musical style, it's really only a handful of people who are successful R&B singers in Japan. Hikaru Utada is sometimes the only name people can say when speaking of J-R&B. I always thought a sound and image change could really help, also collaborating with POP stars instead of other R&B and urban singers. I guarantee there would have been a change in popularity if Namie, Kumi or even AKB48 had worked with her, even in the smallest of ways.
We would happily appreciate if you could promote us. We'll be sure to do the same when we change the layout.

I see, but I tend to think that many (most?) kpop fans are not really interested or knowledgeable about jpop or jmusic. Yeah, I know, I shouldn't generalize :-p
kuropie972
The French forum is a ghost forum now...still alive but nobody's there anymore. It would be useless to make them an affiliate now. Try adding a link to Ck's profile on that French site N...... you know which one I'm talking about, I'd rather not promote it here, as there are some downloading stuff on there. Also, ckj-popnews.fr could be a nice affiliate, it's a general Asian music site but still.
I also think that general Asian music sites are really waht works best at the moment. Back in the day, fansites on one artist were successful and active but now...not really, except for the very popular ones like BIG BANG or SNSD. Kpop sites on the average are more active and attractive than jpop sites nowadays, in my opinion.

Saw that already the last post on the forum is dated from 2007 or something like trying to contact them nonetheless but yeah I don't think is going to be useful to affiliate with them. Also I am going to try to affiliate with a Jpop forum and also ask J random the Op like Ck maybe I have a chance. Thanks for the help all help is welcome if you can ask other forum or other contact that'll be great. Oh and if you have a twitter follow us that'll be cool!!
